Getting wet, muddy and exhausted every day, so you don't have to!
WALKS FROM
EARLIER YEARS
JULY 2016
Colwick Park is always a bit of a challenge because of all the geese and ducks. The dogs loved going for a splash though (especially Bella the whippet-cross puppy). When we came round a corner and I saw all the geese I put the swimming dogs on leads. Lucy the spaniel/poodle ran along the bank after them. The geese were quite cool though, and just went for a swim. A golden-eye duck family were also saved too much disruption.

AUGUST 2016
We have had many fabulous walks at Ploughmans' Wood, Lambley again this year. One spectacular day I went up there with the girls and there were hundreds of swifts swooping after insects on the ridge above Woodborough. I am very lucky having such a lovely group of dogs that all get on with each other so very well. The walks are their chance to socialize and joke around with their friends. They love the wildlife too (and not always in a 'can I chase it and eat it' sort of way).
MID SUMMER 2015
The dogs are all so beautiful! We go to a wide variety of places for our walks - depending on the weather and what would suit the particular dog groups. Big ones go for gallops - the girls (and the Italian Spinoni) also like to mooch about in the flowers!

SUMMER 2013
With two pugs in the 'little dog group' it is important to keep cool. The trees at Bestwood Park provide excellent shade, and once they have had water splashed on them they can canter about feeling happy. After a windy night we came across a fallen cedar tree and I took this near perfect pug pic! (If I say so myself)

HOT JULY 2013
It was so hot that I took the dogs to the River Trent at Gunthorpe so they could stay cool. I brought my neighbour along to help incase we met any young families and needed to gather up the dogs. We all had a brilliant time. They all went in for a splash, then - energized by that - ran around a lot. We walked a long way down the bank, and when we came to the field with cows in I put them on leads, and we calmly walked through with no trouble. I was very impressed with their behaviour - even the two pups were good and none of them barked at the cows. The cows were good too!
